Omsk State Drama Theatre - This is a beautiful theatre and I had the pleasure of meeting the Managing Director, some of the creative people, and a bunch of other employees when I was here.
The arts in Omsk are very strong and the Theatre has a rich history, dating back to 1904!
The Omsk Drama Theatre puts on wonderful performances and has traveled to many places in the world on cultural exchanges. The architecture is beautiful, it looks as if it would fit right in the St. Petersburg landscape.

This giant war memorial Soviet style must be on Ploshad Dzerzhinskovo near the firemen's tower. The postoffice is also in that area and a bigger shopping center.

This building is the start of the shopping area past the Yubileyny bridge on ul. Lenina. The hotel seems to be a law rate place. Not far from the the hotel I bought a fleece jacket.
