Favorite thing: Waling into the streets in Orel is quite enough interesting way to spend time. Although most of buildings have the Sovit architecture (the city was destroyed a lot during WWII) but it is the good examples of Soviet style, for exampe, you may see it in Moskovskaya Street (on the photo).

Favorite thing: The church was built in 1801-1817 on the place where were 2 churches before, Mikhailo-Archangelskaya and Uspenskaya Churches. That's the reason why the church has two names. Till 1860 the bell tower was stayed apart. In Soviet times it was cosed (since 1932) and used as storehouse. In 1989 the church was returned to the Orthodox church and since 1990 it is open for services.

Favorite thing: The river that is passing through the city is Oka River. My hotel was not far from the river banks. On the picture you see the view from the so named Krasny Most, the central bridge of the city.
