95% of the most interesting places that you will see on my Perm-page I did explore by walking after the guided bustour that was a part of our cruise-arrangements. That way I had an idea, where to go and what to look for and half a day should be enough for such a walk through the city.

I arrived by Sibirian Airways on a flight from Moscow to Perm and I had to set back the clock 2 hours upon arrival. The airport is not very big and also not really well organized. The luggage of all airplanes arrives in a tiny belt conveyer, there is just a small cafe in the hall, some telephones and I dont remember any transportation-wagons.
So I was glad that the crew of the ship collected our luggage and took it to the bus.

When I saw the name Siberian Air on my ticket I first had the idea to fly from Moscow to Perm in a tiny plane but in fact this airline has a lot of the most modern and giant airplanes, you will recognize them by their green color and mostly it is called S7airlines instead of Siberian Air. Perm is one of the main stations of the Transsibirian Railway, in a distance of 1397 Km east of Moscow. Take a look at my link, I found it in a german brochure of a travelagency, so these prices are just in order to give you an idea, how much it would be. With these trains it is also mostly not possible to easily book them after your arrival in Moscow, it really is the best to reserve them in advance before you get to Russia !!!
Form Moscow there are at least 3 different trains :
1) “Perm-Moscow” Tr.Nr. 17 (local, daily)
leaving in Moscow at 09.08am (Moscow-time) and it gets to Perm after 21 hours
prices in the 2nd class: 221,-/163,- euros
or 1st class 394,-/297,- euros
2) “Perm-IKT” Tr.Nr. 10 (transit, ODD dates)
leaving in Moscow at 02.00pm (Moscow-time) and it gets to Perm after 56 hours .
prices in the 2nd class: 436 / 307,- euros
or 1st class 840 / 583,- euros
3) “Perm-IKT” Tr.Nr. 340 (transit, EVEN dates)
leaving in Moscow at 02.00pm (Moscow-time) and it gets to Perm after 63 hours 26 min.
prices in the 2nd class: 320 / 229,- euros
1st class is obviously not available in these trains
In Perm the time-change is +2 hours, but according to my information the time ONBOARD of the train will NOT change !! Leave a Comment

This is the cruise-port of Perm, in the north of the city and at the same time opposite of the station of the Transsiberian Railway.
"Rich-noi Vauxhall" is the russian word for it and it might be good to remember it, when you intend to take a taxi from the airport or from the city to the cruiseship.
The buses #1 and #3 will also go from the city to the cruiseport.
There is a police-station inside the port building, a supermarket next to the trainstation and a discoteque / Cafe closeby. You will find a few public telefones outside of the cruiseport-building. Leave a Comment Theme: Ship/Boat

The best way to get the city is by plane. From Moscow there are several flights to Perm by S7 Airlines, Aeroflot, Skyexpress as well as Lufthansa. The flight is 2 hours around. The airport is in 20 kilometers from the city. The ticket Moscow-Perm and back is RUR 6000 (EUR 140). Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

There is the mini-bus 1T that stops in front of the airport building and goes to the central market of the city. The time depends on the traffic. On the weekend we did it for 30 minutes around. The central market is the place where many public transport stops (though we then went to Lenin street, the city center, by feet, 15 minutes around).
