There is only one thing to see in Tyungur : the surrounding beauty of nature. And the best way of exploring it is by trekking. LenAlpTours gives the possibility of a guided 13 day trek (with baggage transportation by horses). An alternative is to climb to the top of Mount Belukha (4500m).

The first day of the trek includes a 20km rafting on the Katun river. But there are other organisations that do multiday raftings on this river...

During the trekking you get "good" food to walk the next day. All food was carried by horses and is prepared on firewood (mostly boiled in water, like rice, pasta, ... soup, meat with vegetables, ...).
With some bread all tastes very delicious. And if it doesn't... you're hungry enough to eat your portion anyway :-)

Favorite Dish: Breakfast: rijst pap, havermout pap, macaroni, spaghetti, ... this is the way to start the day...
