Train
The best way to get to (and in fact the only possibility - apart from expensive airplanes) is a train. But to get to Vorkuta (far north - the place where famous GULAG where) you will need at lest 2 days - there is one railway that leads from Moscow via Jaroslav to Kotlas and extended line to Vorkuta via Uchta, Pechora, Inta. Apart from some local roads which lead from main town to local villages there are no other roads - only the train. In fact you may use also railroads for bicycling but accommodation possibilities are very sparatan.
