Go for a swim in the sea of Azov,.some parts of the sea is a little dirty but thats no real problem. It's not deep you can walk far there or maybe you can learn to swim there like i did :)

there are a lot of museums in taganrog, this city could be as popular as st petersburg but peter the 1th took another way.....

i missed in august 2006 a cosaqui meeting, around 250 cosaques were there in original suits the 15th for Ataman Platov anniversary. As their "chief" was in Paris during his life they would enjoy to have a frenchi with them for the ceremony, next time, may be ....

It's an hour and a half to drive from the airport to Taganrog. On the way from time to time you see peddlers selling watermelons and crayfish caught in the local rivers. Both are very very good. The crayfish are expensive beyond belief. Once we payed $3 US per crayfish. But, they were very very good and sweet. Lobster does not at all compare.

Favorite thing: TAGANROG
was built like a copy of St. Petersburg, because PETER I didn't believe people in Moscow, and wanted to create another capital, he enjoyed this place and staied there for a while.
