Like in every Russian great city or small town you may see a monument to Lenin (may be several or even many statues!). In Ryazan this monument is situated at the square in front of the Trading Houses.
There are a lot of streets in Ryazan which still keep their names since the Soviet times.

Evpatiy Kolovrat is a Russian warrior of the times of Mongol invasion, a hero of Russian epos and many literary works.
He was a Ryazan grandee and a legendary bogatyr.
In 1237 Evpatiy collected a team in 1700 soldiers, overtook a mongolo-tatar army and threw aggressors into confusion.
The monument to Evpatiy Kolovrat by Oleg Sedov was erected in 2007.

The monument to Oleg Ryazansky, the Grand Prince of Ryazan, was erected in 2007. The author – Zurab Tsereteli.
The heyday of the Ryazan principality is usually associated with Prince Oleg Ivanovich (1350-1402) who was competing with Moscow princes with varying success.
Certain peculiarities of the Ryazan principality geographical location made it necessary to constantly maneuver between the Golden Horde, Moscow and Lithuania and determined the actions of this outstanding warrior and politician.

In the 1380 during the Battle of Kulikovo the Grand Prince of Ryazan Oleg and his men came under a coalition of Mamai, a strongman of the Tartar Golden Horde, and the Grand Duke of Lithuania, against the armies under the command of the Grand Prince of Vladimir, Dmitri Ivanovich of Moscow.

The exposition «History of Russian Army» is located in the House of Mob.
This exposition represents the centuries-old way from body-guard troops of princes up to technically equipped army of the XX century and the role of army in turning-points of Russian history.
This exposition became the original annals of great victories of the Russian weapon and the gallery of national heroes.

Price for a ticket to all four expositions is 150 rubles ($5).
Price for permission of taking photos and videos is 50 rubles ($1,8) for every exposition (200 rubles (about $7) in summary.

The new exposition «From Rus’ to Russia» is opened in the memorial estate located on the territory of the Kremlin. You will find it in the Prince Oleg's Palace.
The idea of statehood, territorial, political and cultural unity of Russia lays in its basis.
The exposition represents history of Russian cities from early Middle Ages up to the XX-th century.
The most interesting archeological finds have taken the place in an exposition: hidden treasures, household things, instruments of work, weapon.

The Church of the (in Russian - Spas) Transfiguration in Yar is located on the quay of the Trubezh River near to the Kremlin. It was built in 1695 by I.Verderevsky.
The high steep bank (in Russian – yar) on which the Church was constructed gave it the second name – Spas in Yar.
