Ryazan is located about 200 kilometers south-east of Moscow.
You can get it by train, by bus and by car.
From the Kazan Railway tation by train or an electric train (about 4 hours in a way).
From the Vykhino Central Bus station by bus from 7.25 till 20.00 (5 hours in a way).
By car M5 Moscow-Chelyabinsk (3 hours without traffic jams and 4-5 hours with traffic jams).

Traditionally I travel by car with my family and friends every May. This year (2003) our trip was along so-called Silver Ring of Russia. It lays to the south from well-known Golden Ring rout.

Take a train from Kazansky Railway Station in Moscow. There are two types of trains - "firmenny" called Express-Ryazan, which goes twice a day and "electrichka", which is a more simple version, thus more cheaper and less comfortable :)))
The time of travelling by "firmenny" train is 2,5 hrs. Ticket price for the 1st calss car is about 3 eur.
There are 2 railway stations in Ryazan' - Ryazan 1 and Ryazan 2, both are not too far from the center (about 3 km away).
