a nice place with nice people.
on the lower one there's the disco and a bar, with many tables around the dancing floor;
on the upper one, there's a kind of pub, where you can also eat, play billiard or mini-bowling, or ride a mechanical bull.
As I said before, it is a place next to the river. There are many benches to sit and just drink beer like everyone does.
Or go to karaoke singing, it is almost always next to the weir. But if it is not - you will hear where it is. It is a great place to make fun. Or even sing yourself. One song costs about $3 or less. Sometimes you can even win something.
Dress Code: In Summer men can even go topless. Women go there in short skirts or dresses. Or anything they feel like.
Malakhit, McPeak, Divan, Gradara, Ivan, and a supermarket - all belong to one man. That is why they are so much fun.
Malakhite is the best nightclub and entertainment center. Ivan and Gradara - really good restaurants and McPeak the only fast-food.
Malakhite have the most interesting audience- everybody who has a lot of money. Beautiful girls and richest men. And of course their children, who are possibly still in last grades in school. Nightclub is on the ground level. Restaurant (European kitchen, delicious deserts), billiard and bowling are upstairs. Open Thur-Fri, 9pm-6am. Sat-Sun 1pm-6am. Children - $2. Adults $4-7.
McPeak and McPeak Sunday are places where you can sometimes find all kinds of food. From sushi to cheeseburgers and Russian pelmeni. Burgers cost $1- 2. Fries - $1/2. Large Coke $1/2. Happy Meal imitation - $2. Open everyday 10am-10pm.There is also McPeak in Derizhabl Shoping Mall. Strawberry milkshake is my favourite($1).
Divan is a mix of everything - oriental design, japanese and french kitchen, transvestite shows and Russian guests. Entrance to the show $10. Open Wed-Sat 9pm-6am. And it is kind of expensive.
Gradara is a quiet little Italian restaurant. Open everyday from noon till midnight. Pasta, pizza (just $3 for a small pizza and about $7 for a big one), lasagna, deserts, soups. I like Penne with vegetables.
Ivan..never been there.
Dress Code: Do not go in old jeans and sneakers to Malakhite nightclub and Divan. Also you will look strange in Gradara. But they won't say anything.
House music from this relatively new club which is very popular with locals. Invited dj's from around the world grace the decks each weekend and beautiful people dance on podiums. Check out the Snakes in the tanks! If you want a table call ahead (if they know you're foreign you seem to get better service). Designer labels abound here, dress to impress!
Dress Code: Avant garde or jeans, whatever your thing, just be cool
The best Nightclub in Town - situated on Lunachaskava near hotel Ibis. Large dance floor and balcony. Cheap drinks for a western purse and food is available. Up stairs is a restaurant which serves a mixture of American style and Russian cuisine, good for Russian standards. (menu is all in Russian but usually someone there can speak English). there is also three Russian Billaird tables, Mini Bowling alley and a Bucking Bronko (go on this before you eat). The club is open Thursday-Sunday and has a show from 1pm... interestting! There is also a Private bar attached - Lap dance club. The girls and boys who work here are more attractive than the rest of e-burgs clubs and its great fun to watch. Cost is around 300 roubles payable with the first drink, its a laugh so go for it!
Dress Code: Jeans ok just be smart. remember its very cold in winter so don't forget you pants!
Atrium palace hotel is overpriced and generally sucks, avoid at all costs. Club luke is now closed down, people who like hard house go to Histeria on Malishava st. Otherwise the only other club worth visiting is Malachite - open thursday to sunday. Show at 1pm fri/sat. transvestite show sun.
Very good food can be had at a reasonable price - Gradara (Italian) Grand Buffet - (Russian) both on Malishava. Good restaurant and also very cheap but very clean and always busy is McPeak Sunday on Karla Libknecta st. If you want an unusual cabaret with your dinner go to Divan on Malishva st. Mix of Transvestite and striptease but an expensive menu and difficult to get in. but worth the cost! Carabass is one of the worst girlie bars in the city, Malachite has a private bar with attractive women (and men) rather than the Farmers wives you get at Carabass (no offence to you farmers out there)
Night life for the 'totally secure and not easily shaken' is found in a disco night club called 'Malakit'.
Another place I can't remmeber the name of was a Georgian restaurant with life music, good food and festive atmosphere, very popular with locals.
You'll know your there when you realize the whole place is done in art-deco stainless steel. :-) indestructable!!!! This disco features entertainers with a wide variety of proformances in between dance sets. That makes it much more fun. Also an upstairs gameroom with billards, miniture bowling and even a 'Mickey Gilleys' bucking bull' ride for those that are really adventurous.
Dress Code: My advice is that it is always best to blend in with the locals, not that they won't recognize you but it makes them less suspicious. It can be hot in Eburg in the summer but I never spoted any males with shorts on.
City bar, expat night on fryday, located on the second floor of the atrium palace.
2K ground floor of the Atrium palace
Carabass, go and see for your self, with gogo dancers, and entertainment, 150 roubles to get in.
Crazy horse ground floor atrium palace
Malaheat, 128 ulitsa Lynacharskova
Luke, nice little place, not expencive, student place
The place really looks a bit like a submarine. It's actually a restaurant which has live music (Beatles songs usually) in the evenings. Relaxed athmosphere and decent prices.
Dress Code: casual
