Tomsk Transportation

Tomsk is one of those Siberian cities with trams. When they run, they are very convenient to go downtown from near the railway station. You are in for a bumpy but fun ride. They are a good chance to explore the rural streets of Tomsk.

We took the nighttrain to Krasnoyarsk. The tickets we bought the day before at Tomsk station. In the railway station you may need the left lugguage (kamera khranenina). Please note that it is a bit difficult to find, you will have to go downstairs to locate it.

The most comfortable way to come to Tomsk is airplane. As far as I know there are 2 aircrafts that have flights here, Krasair and Sibir'. I used Krasair and it was RUR 8500 (EUR 240) to and back for 4 hours 30 minutes fly (one way). If you want to get taxi it is possible to get it for RUR 250-300 (EUR 7-9) to the center of the city.
