The Cathedral is situated in All Saints cemetery (by the way the cemetary is open-air museum of headstones of XVIII-XIX century). The first church was built in wood in 1773, later the stony cathedral with belfry was built in 1776-1825. On the walls of the bell fry you may see the angels with tubes (1867).

Epiphany Cathedral was built in 1855-1862 in honour of soldiers of 1812 War. In Soviet times it was the home for 2 clubs, aeroclub in 1930-1950 and gym club till 1989. In 1989 the Weapon Museum was open here (we didn't visit 'cause of huge queue).

the first main Cathedral in Kremlin was arkhangelsky Cathedral, built in 1626. The present view cathedral was built in 1762-1766 by L.Kopteltsov, S.Sidnev and A.Volodimirov. In 1772-1781 the belfry was built near by (it was burnt down in 1936). The iconostasis was painted in 1765-1767, but unfortunately the cathedral was closed during our visit to Kremlin.

In present we can see 9 towers and 4 ones among them are with arches. The main entrance is through Odoevsky Gate. Near of the entrance there is the ticket office. I paid RUR 90 as an entrance fee for 2 persons and 1 photo shots (USD 2.95).

The Kremlin was founded in Tula in 1503 by Ioann III. Later his son, Vasily III built wooden walls in 1507-1509 and later the stony walls were built in 1514-1521. In XVII century the Russian border was carried away to the south and Kremlin lost its military purpose.

Preobrazhensky Temple is situated near of Uspensky Cathedral. The Temple was built in 1842 by V. Fedoseev architect (the Temple was built instead of old wooden St.Nikolay Church). In soviet times the belfry was destroyed and the Temple was Navy school's building. Temple was reconstructed in 2001-2007 and then open for the service.

Uspensky Cathedral is situated on the Lenin Square, near of Kremlin. The first church was built here in wood in XVII century for the nunnery. In XVIII century it was completely reconstructed in stone with last style of 1791-1792. In XIX century it was reconstructed again. In 1898 the cathedral was destroyed and then assembled again in 1902 (in style we see in present days). The interior was painted in 1909, probably by Vasily Vasnetsov disciples. In Soviet times there was a try to blow down the cathedral in 1930 but without success (fortunately), later the state archive was in the building. Since 90-s of XX century the cathedral was been reconstructed and then was open in 2006.

There are not much places in Russia indeed when Lenin monument is a neighbour of churches and cathedrals. Tula city is one of those places. On the city square you may see the region government building and two churches as well as Kremlin churches are near by too. Photos are a bit separately: 1st and 3rd ones are about Lenin monument and 2nd are churches that are situated on Lenin Square.

Lenin Avenue seems the longest street of the city. It starts near of Kremlin and goes to the southern part of the city. It is interesting to look at the change of architecture style when the old houses in the beginning of the street turn to Stalin-style houses and further you may see more modern buildings. Some views are in travelogue.
