They built an elaborate bus station out of town, but it has been abandonned and is a bit of a walk into town. The Yaroslavl bus still drops you off there, though. Tourists who are moving on from Suzdal have been recommended to take a cab to Vladimir, which is 37 km away and has rail and bus connections.
This nice and calm picture was taken in a Preobrazhensky Convent.
White horse looked very friendly first and asked for some dainty. But after he understand that we are not going to entertain him, he turned around and was ready to kick. He became very aggressive, so, I even was forced to run away.
Danger! Danger ! Danger !
Beware when you are sleeping in the hotel GWK ! Staff is extremely unfriendly, and the rooms in the backsection (the so called motel) should not be operated at all.
We had to change rooms 4 times because of unpassable dust ! A vacuum cleaner is not available in the entire hotel. The bathroom had no tiles anywhere to be found. The beds had something on them that looked like a matras, but actually were spikes covered by dust.
So if they put you in the ground floor of the motel section, in the area of what they call a swimming pool, LEAVE when possible !!!
Earth here is very fertile and nature very lush. So nature does what it wants and you may have to accomodate it whether you want or not. Like this wonderful tree that found a itself a new home!
Please note the following when visiting a monastery:
Don't make any noise!
Don't enter churches and chapels in shorts!
Don't photograph nuns!
