Favorite thing: The monastery was founded in 1191 by Vsevolod III near of Uspensky and Dmitrovsky cathedrals and now it is situated on the main city street. Till the middle of XVI century the monastery was the main among all Russian monasteris. The famous Aleksandr Nevsky was buried here (in 1723 the grave was moved to Saint Petersburg). In XVI-XVII centuries were buit many stone constructions of the monastery we see nowadays. In XIX century the monastery was completely reconstructed (1858-1868). In Soviet times the monastery was placed by KGB.

Favorite thing: The main street of the city has name Bol'shaya Moskovskaya. If you walk along the street you can see all main attractions of the city including The Golden Gate, Uspensky and Dmitrovsky Cathedrals and others. In the end of the street you may see the houses built in the second part of XX century.

Favorite thing: Nikitskaya church was built in 1762. It is situated not far from Golden Gate. The neibourgh of the church is well nown Knyaginin Monastyir' (Princess nunnery). It was a pity, there are trees everywhere around nunnery and my colleague didn't want to come in the territory.

Favorite thing: From Dmitrievsky Cathedral towards bus station there is Nikolo-Kremlevskaya Church. It was built in 1769 and it is a good example of the regional barocco style, which was popular in russian cities in Ekaterina II the Great Empress epoche. The interesting thing is there is a planitarium nowadays :-)

Favorite thing: There are fantastic wall frescos on the cathedral. In the western wall of the cathedral they have native form and in other walls they were reconstructed. Figures show the man, it symbolize Alexander Makedonsky and Duke of Vladimir. Besides you can see the magic animals who must defend people from evil.

Favorite thing: Not far from Uspensky Cathedral there is another architecture, Dmitrievsky Cathedral. Cathedral was built in 1194-1197 by Vsevolod III Duke. Unlike the main cathedral of Vladimir Dmitrievsky Cathedral has a look that it had just after building works without any renovated forms. The only work was here is reconstruction. Inside the cathedral you can enjoy wall paintings of XII-XIII century. The entrance fee is RUR 20 (EUR 0.5) for Russians and RUR 80 (EUR 2.3) for foreign citizens.
