Located in the central district, right off the Avenue of Houses near the Volga River. This little spot is a combination full service coffee café and Sushi restaurant. Though a sushi lover, I don’t do sushi in Volgograd now. But I do coffee in Russia and Kofe Nero is a delicious spot to get a cup. The service is good and the wireless internet access is Free when you buy something. The menu also has some limited English which makes it so much easier to order! It can be very smoky during the busy hours but there is a secluded non-smoking area upstairs...it is not always enforced. Yet the cappuccino is very good. There is a nice selection of soups, sandwiches and yummy desserts! I recommend this place. Grab a window seat for a nice view of the park.
Non-Smoking Area-Sort of
Wireless Internet-Yes (requires password)
Hours: M-F 1000 to 0000 (10 am to 12 pm)
S-S 1000 to 0200 (10 am to 2 am)
Favorite Dish: Good sandwiches and omelets. Also have some great hot cereals for a late breakfast.
The Russians tell me the Sushi is good, too, but I have not tried it.
Great desserts a dessert menu with photos for us non-Russian speakers.
This little upscale coffee café is a bit hard to find. Look for the wooden cut out of a maiden with a tray of coffee. That is the place to go for great coffee, drinks, good food, great desserts, non-smoking area and really friendly service. We stop here often for the free, wide open wireless internet access as well as nearby electrical plugs for our laptops. The large latte (I order it extra hot to get it at least above luke warm) is excellent and filling...and only about $2.50...69 rubles. This place also has great desserts, thought without the English menu, we had to just point at the dessert display or another customer’s plate.
Wireless Internet-Free and Wide Open

The restaurant is located in the same building as Volgograd Hotel.
Its room was probably used as a theater because it has stage and very high ceiling; in general the place has good spirit of 19th century.
Business lunch cost about $8 per person, it included 8 options of salads, two soups varieties, 4 side dishes and 4 meat varieties, green or black tea.
The food was very tasty, personnel are very polite and friendly, I definitely would recommend visiting that place.
Favorite Dish: I exceptionally liked the mashed potatos and pea soup in that restaurant.
This place has a HORRID breakfast buffet. I would not even pack the unfinished morsels to take home for my puppy. However, at night they must change management or cooks as the dinner was fantastic, if not rather expensive (assuming that is you can tolerate the dinner entertainment...)
Favorite Dish: I actually got a pretty good steak here with a spicey sauce, something that is pretty much unheard of here. AND it was ra real cut of meet. For the most part, cutting meat into prime cuts like T-Bone or File Mingion has not caught on, but here it was available!
