Favorite thing: Rostov is well-known in the former USSR as a place where film "Ivan Vasil'evich changes his profession" was made. This is very funny comedy of 1970s. Rather hackneyed fantastic story how a guy from todays Ivan Vasilievich Bunscha was changed in times with Thar Ivan Vasilievich IV the Terrible, but due to of genius producer and magnificent casting is became a masterpiece of soviet cinema.
Fondest memory: Everyone could try on tsars clothers ;-)

Favorite thing: This is our barbeque on the lakeside near Dmitriev Monastery.
Lakeside of the lake Nero is very wet and it is difficult to find a place for a picknick or barbeque. This place - to the right from monastery - is rather popular, we were not the only ones ;-)

Favorite thing: Take a boat trip along lake Nero.
You will see remarkable landscapes and views on the town. Castle and monasteries are reflected in the mirror of the lake making miracle.
