Favorite thing: See the Three Towers (le 'Tre Penne' such as the 3 feathers). The fortress was defended by these towers linked each by a wall.
The view from them on the surrounding is great.
The site was built to be guarded by few soldiers and in Summer the tourists are numerous. For this reason, we had to queue to walk along the wall and to climb in the towers.

Fondest memory: The picture was taken in an early spring day, after a snow fall (yes, sometimes we get snow in San Marino in winter time, and let me tell you, it makes it a really "magic" place....)

Favorite thing: Without a doubt, you must visit the two tower fortresses. It is alot of walking up steep hills, but standing there looking at the view...it is unforgettable. Buy a ticket for one or both towers, visit of just one tower is about 2 Euros, and both towers just over 3 euros. I highly recommend visiting at least the two towers, which is incredible. the third tower, well, I did not make it there as the cafes were too inviting. The picture is looking from tower 2 to tower 1.
