There is really no nightlife to speak of in the Republic. Dinner with family and friends seems to be the preferred pasttime. The restaurants in both the capital and the surrounding towns stay open until the last diner has departed, and the natives can be found living it up. That said, the streets are blissfully quiet at night, and the lights below the capital, as well as the illumination of the parliament and the basillica, are quite beautiful and can make for a wonderful post-dinner stroll. (For those who must have a more exciting evening, Rimini, on the Adriatic Sea coast in Italy, is only 30 minutes away, and offers all the bars and clubs the dedicated party person could hope for.)
The dress code in all of San Marino's restaurants is casual, as is true of the nightspots in nearby Rimini. Leave a Comment
