Ristorante "La Fratta": Good Restaurant!

I can suggest ristorante 'La Fratta', right in the city center.They serve very good food (local specialties, very good meat and fish). Medium prices.Ask for Stefano (the owner), he speaks good english, and tell them that Lino (myself) recommended the restaurant. A nice small stop for a snack next to the car park underneath the castle walls between 1st and 2nd towers. Good selection of usual Italian foods and good service too. English not spoken too well by the owner but my Italian and pointing will always work well. Pannini

There are many restaurants in San Marino, all of them offering more or less the same. You can choose amond single dishes like pasta, pizzas ... or you can order a daily menu. Al restaurants seem to have the same price for it, 16 euro (18 euro for fish menu). We decided for Bellavista restaurnat because it was the closest at the moment and it has a nice view (as the name suggests). Melas were OK, but nothing special. My menu was made of combined first course (pasta with salsa and ravioli in oil with basil), main course had different types of meat and for the dessert I had a fruit salad.

Just on a main walkway walking by we noticed an empty table and wonderful aroma. We took a seat and were pleased with the service and food! Fresh pasta caught our attention right away. We sat down, scanned the menu and asked the server for their specialty. He showed us a trio of fresh pastas and we agreed. It was a lasagna, tortelloni, and flat noodle each with a distinct sauce and flavor! Very nice!

In San Marino you can find a lot small caffees there you can taste different kind of pizzas or other italian food.Coffe and beer taste also great.....Don't look at table there i'm sitting....it is nearly empty,because picture was taken a little bit late....After good lunch

Visitors to San Marino will find themseleves inundated with more than their fair share of touristy snack bars that offer only the standard pizza-ice cream-soft drink options. However, the Republic is not without its culinary treats. Perhaps the best restaurant in the whole country is La Fratta, with an extensive Italian menu and a wine list featuring some of San Marino's quite good native vintages. La Fratta's decor generally fits in with San Marino city's medieval feel, although with a bit of a modern twist. The service is friendly, almost familial, and the food is the best in the tiny country. The other restaurant worth a visit is Righi La Taverna. Although the food here is not the equal of La Fratta, it is still pretty good, and the decor is even more medieval, allowing diners to feel as if they are really eating in a castle. Everywhere at anytime, you will hardly see a so high concentration of shops and restaurants and bars in an another so small city or countryTry Piadina, here it's not the best, but still something good and tasty
