Castle..

It's on the top of the hill where San Marino takes place on... Until you get the castle there's a nice path to take, that you can watch the panaroma (Italy is under your feet) and take piedina from one of the shops on the way and eat... 8))

Third fort. Watchtower. This tower was extremely important during the war with the Malatesta. Although it can only be viewed from the outside, it provides a highly suggestive panorama.

Borgo Maggiore

Borgo Maggiore was founded in the 12th century.

It used to be a market-place, and is still an important business centre.

A cablecar connects it with the capital.

The remains of Roman coins and Langobards gold jewels prove that Domagnano was settled in ancient times.

The Montale fortress or 3rd tower dates back to the 13th century. It played an important role during struggles with the Malatesta family of Rimini. It is not possible to enter the fortress.
