Kremnicke Vrchy and 'Tunel'. A nice walk uphill from the Tajov camping, we reached the ridge of Kremnicke Vrchy (Hills of Kremnica) at a small tunnel, dug for shelter during the Uprise in the second world war. Although the climb is steep, the nice forest gives enough reason to rest once in a while. Decending down to Kremnica makes a nice hike. Kremnica has a small camp ground in the valley to the east (from which direction you will arrive), where the owner might insist of coming over and taste the home-made Slivovice.

A nice daytrip to Dobsinska Ladova Jaskyna: the Ice Cave ofDobsinska. Incredible: from 25 degrees outside you enter a cave with ice everywhere (bring a sweater!). A little on the touristic side, but together with a small walk in the neighbourhood and the train trip to and from is really nice!
