Favorite thing: The Primate's Palace was the only public building ( apart from the National Gallery ) that I got time to visit both outside and inside. Outside it is a substantial and imposing neoclassical structure and walking through the courtyard is this fine statue of St George still fighting that dragon. The entrance from Primacialne namestie is through a lovely square which sets off the pastel pink building to perfection. It was here that Napoleon and the Emperor Francis 1 signed the treaty of Pressbourg in 1805, after the batle of Austerlitz.

On top of the building is a rather unusual decoration, a cast-iron model of a cardinal's hat, weighing 300 lbs. This reminds me of the replica of a crown on top of St Martin's cathedral and one wonders if one copied the other ?

Favorite thing: Museum is inside the building of old Town Hall next to the Primate palace. The exhibitions don't deal just with Bratislava but there are tons of interesting things such as cellar with torture instruments :) huaaa

Favorite thing: It is not justice to compare this museum with London Natural History Museum as both are different cities.
This museum contains the natural history exhibitions of the Slovak National Museum. It also houses the Library of the Slovak National Museum and also offices for adiministration.
