Cuban themed bar, room for dancing, selection of rum, etc. If you need ideas for a drink, you can ask the barkeep for a local alcohol to get the cultural experience. We did this, and were blessed with Borovicka. Ask for this on ice (or a shot) and you just might look like you know what you are doing. Buy one for the three Slovakian beauties sitting next to you as well.

According to Gay Times' website there are about 10 gay bars in Bratislava. I was only able to find out about two, Spider Club, and Apollon, which is the one we visited.
Apollon is located in a cellar, entered from a small courtyard off the street. With its garishly painted blue walls it's a small sized club. Open from early evening until the late hours of the morning, it is in two sections, a seating area with sofas and chairs and just around the corner a small dance floor. It was rather quiet on both nights we were there, including New Year's Eve.
Prices are more expensive than average for Bratislava with a bottle of beer at 45SK. It's a little run down. Very mixed clientele, in age, style and gender. Staff seem a little embarrassed at being unable to speak English, but the lady on the coatcheck was lovely and friendly. Nice enough place to spend a couple of hours and have a dance to Kylie if you feel so inclined.
Dress Code: Usual casual dress.

Deemed "touristy" by locals, floating dance bar with cheesy American R & B. Why go here? You are in Bratislava, and haven't properly researched (including asking locals) where to drink. Go here to meet locals and tourists alike. Just near Novy Most in a small boat.
No cover both nights we went (though not on the weekend). 50 Crown Pilsners, tourists and locals doing a cheesy meat-market thing, the occasional power outage, what more do you want???
Dress Code: No dress code I'm aware of.

I never actually went in here as my trip co-incided with the two deadest nights of the week in Bratislava (sunday and monday).
However, I'm gonna reccomend it as it's meant to be really cool. Everyone I met who'd been in here loved it and met loads of cool people.
Therefore, go here... drink beer!

Okay... I'm s**t. I can't remember the name of this place but it's got an excellent feature... a slide!!! A slide from the toilet door to the dancefloor (dangerous but fun).
On the flip side tho... beer is very expensive and entry for guys is a lot more than for girls (100svk I think).
Enjoy it until the novelty wears off...

As much of a cliche as it is for Brits to go to Irish Bars... I did. It's a good place to meet ex-pats and althought the beer is slightly more expensive in here, the atmosphere is cool.
Especially good on sunday and monday nights when the rest of the city is dead.

This is a great little club a lad from Brat. showed us. Its a short tax ride from the Old Town. Entrance was only 50skk and beer was even less. It soon got packed with people jumping all over the dancefloor. Good music, great night.

You can hear some nice live jazz music at this cafe. The musicians play in the cellar of the cafe. The atmosphere is nice. Most of the crowd was mature and very respectful of the musicians. The service is good and the drinks are fairly priced. You have to spend a minimal amount of 200 kroners which is about $6.
Dress Code: Most of the people were dressed casual.

Old City centre has plenty of choice for pubs, some of them performing life music. Unfortunately i had no time to have a drink on any of them, since i was returning to Vienna that same day. But I wish i could since some of them did look great. Yes, another nice excuse to return to Bratislava soon. ;-)
