go to the SAD bus station, find a bus to Trnava, and pay the driver the 50 or 60 crowns to get there. Takes about an hour to get there, Once you get off the bus. Look to the North West and there will be a little bar. The people are nice and Staroprammen 0.5 liters are 20SK. There is also gambling and decent music. The staff or nice and you'll notice on the wall to the right is a statue of the Aztec calendar. Above is a 100 Peso note that I gave to them. If you see them tell them I said hello. Last bus to B'Slav leaves at 2030, so be careful. There are many pensions though and I think there is a train that leaves later. The train station is right accross the street from the bar and near the bus stand.
It is on the way to Trnava near Budmerice ;)of course !!! So, there is the name of it LOL :) It is the seat and rest resort for Slovak Association of Writers and there are a lot of seminars going on. My friend's father is a writer so I had chance to go inside and to see it ... can't forget on nice park right next to the chateau and the wish of two writers to play pingpong with me :)
Built in romantic style with beautiful gardens and parks. Unfortunately closed for public, but it is possible to have a picnic in the parks.
The Malo Carpathian towns of Svaty Jur and Trnva are just a sampling of the great smaller towns within a short distrance from Bratislava. Get to them, spend some time and meet the locals!
