This is a local place in Old Town with a nice terrace for outside eating and they have Pilsner Urquel on tap, one of my faves! A mix of Austrian, and Czech dishes along with some Slovak as well. Presburg comes from one of the old names of the city of Bratislava.

This is a great place to stop for a coffee or a meal...most everyone there was eating breakfast, but we just stopped for coffee and a rest from walking the old town. This is right on the corner of the main square with umbrella-covered tables with comfortable chairs. We had cappuchinos and cokes and had a nice sit for 15-20 minutes watching the school-aged children playing around the famous fountain in front of us, and the tourist booths selling all sorts of handmade, craftsy things.
Favorite Dish: Coffee with a view!

We have eaten at this place in Dubravka many times now as I have moved here with my family. No only is the service fantastic the food is too, service is quick and friendly always.
Favorite Dish: We love the picante pizza little hot but okay for people who like a little spice.

We tried this typical Bratislava treat at the cafe.It has 3 layers.A puff pastry base topped with a pannacotta-like layer with a layer of choc sauce on it.Its actually a very heavy dessert and i'm not so sure I'd recommend it but the waitress told us its something authentic.
Favorite Dish: Cold Coffee

A small, but great pizza restaurant is found close to the ass monument. The pizza taste good and the price is cheap. I don't remember the name, but look at the photos and see if you can recognise the place.

This is a nice restaurant where we usually go for lunch break. They are rather quick and they usually serve good quality food. Everyday there are two special offers you can choose and pay just €3,15. They always serve a soup and then the main course.

I have no idea about how the food tastes in this restaurant as I did not go in here, but From the very sight of it, I can understand that it must be a great experience for travellers. Its the flying saucer shaped restaurant on top of the 85 metres high pylon of the Novy Most bridge on the Danube river in Bratislava. There is an elevator on the ground to go up it.

- Very poor customer service - owner / staff weren't courteous and kept us waiting for ages
- we ordered water, only to be given sparkling water (we wanted still), told to pay for replacement!
- starters -- paneer ... very tasteless, bland
- chicken saag - very tough
- expensive for the quality of food
- lack of ambience whatsoever
Favorite Dish: None

Slovak Pub was recommended by the woman at the tourist office, it was a bit out of the way from the old town but worth the trek to eat with the locals and not a bunch of tourists.
The interior was great, huge rooms with mismatched wooden tables of all shapes and sizes, antlers hanging on the walls. There seemed to be a lot of students here and there were all kinds of student priced specials on the menu. Service was fast and while not overly friendly, our server was pleasant enough.
Favorite Dish: David ordered beef goulash for the umpteenth time on this trip, I'm pretty sure that's the only dish he ordered besides pizza! He said it was good. We split a side order of bryndzove halusky, small dumplings made of potato dough with sheep cheese and topped with chunks of bacon, a very traditional dish and one you really should try if you visit Slovakia. That was very good. I ordered the pirohy filled with meat in a cheese and bacon sauce, they were more like a croquette (fried breading with filling) than what I consider a pierogi (either fried or boiled with a thinner layer of dough and more filling), too much breading for my taste. Total with 1 drink each was 315sk (about $16US).
