Around Bratislava, you can forge ahead on the bike trail along the Danube that will take you out to (and beyond) beautiful Devín Castle or across the river and into Austria. Another local favourite is the bike path south of town to the swimming lakes in Èuòovo and Rusovce. The path starts on the Petržalka side of the Danube river and heads south for some 16 km past the last Bratislava bridge, Prístavný most. Further biking opportunuties exist in forest parks and in the Small Carpathian mountain range where the adventurous biker can ride for hours on the endless dirt trails.
Equipment: Bring your own bike. I tried to find some bike rental shop in Bratislava, but without result. If you will find some, let me know.
