In most of Slovak towns there is a decent nightlife. Many new bars, clubs and discos are open since the 'velvet revolution' in 1989.I like bars in Bratislava, Banska Štiavnica, Èadca, and of course in my hometown Banská Bystrica.The special thing about my town´s nightlife is the fact that most of it is concentrated in the 'old centre' of the town. That means it is easy to get from one bar to another by foot within couple of minutes without using taxis. Only some of the bars require entrance fee. Most of them don´t. Slovaks are relaxed. You can ware whatever you want. But I would say one would look pretty weird in a smoking or a 'haut cuture' dress. (I am of course speaking of normal nightlife spots not a five star hotel clubs...)

IRISH PUB: IRISH PUB

It is the best pub in the capital city, Bratislava. There is lot of place, nice people and all kinds of beer, whiskeys or liquer. Every night there is even a live music. It is a little more expensive than the other pubs but still cheap for foregners. And it is placed in the heart of Bratislava, at the most beautiful part of the old town. Try some typical Slovak dish or some local beer and enjoy. The bartenders always speak good English, so there is nothing to be afraid of. All kinds of clothes are alowed, but don't go there if you are scrubby, change to something nice instead!
