There are a lot of limy rocks in Mala Fatra mountains, many with deep and not fenced cliffs. Be carefull, do not walk close to their edges not to fall down which would be mostly fatal for you.
Just in case you survive and have a cell phone call:
ambulance - 155,
Mountain Rescue Service (Horska Sluzba) in Vratna and Terchova - +421 (41) 5695232,
police - 158,
Hmm... I was told that hospital in Zilina was quite good :-).

Driving from Dolny Kubin I wanted to take highway 70 that is the shortest way to Parnica. Hmm... I didn't notice (I missed) direction signs and I drove through Ruzomberok and Kralovany that was 44 km instead of... 8 km. Hmm... direction signs often are small, somewhat hidden, put too close to crossroads and not repeated on the crossroad and after, simply easy to miss in this part of Slovakia, even on main highways.
But I don't complain, thanks it I could discover amazing manor house in Vysni Kubin :-).

There are quite many simple bridges over local rivers and streams in that area of Slovakia. Sometimes they are built of wooden tiles with wooden handrail on one side like this one on my picture. But sometimes there is only a trunk of a tree put over a stream.
Notice that wooden bridges have limited resistance. Don't swing in the middle of a bridge and if you are in a larger group walk across the bridge one by one.

I was driving local highway 583 from Parnica via village of Terchova to city of Zilina. It was not typical, steep meanderous, mountain highway. It went mainly along valleys with long straight segments and the traffic was very small so I could drive quite fast but... there were numerous bends (sometimes quite sharp) which forced me to lower speed.
Be careful and slow down on time, that is enough before them especially that they were not always well signed. In winter time when the road maybe icy and/or covered by snow keep chains ready. Snow is possible there from late September to late April, usually from December to February.

This was a lovely stop in Parnica, Slovakia. Sunshine, mountains and a blue sky with fall leaves. What a lovely country for me to see.
