Not so much a danger as an annoyance.
Poprad seems to have more than it's fare share of Romanys... and whilst I don't want to go into the wider politics involving romanys, they can spot a tourist a mile off in Poprad!
I caught one guy's eye and he ran from a fair distance and followed me for a good while with his hand out shouting "Prosim? Prosim?"
The fact that I wasn't going to give him a single crown didn't seem to deter him.
Just an Advice...
From Poprad bus station, we can take buses to the Tatras Mountain Range in south of Poland, but please buy the ticket days ahead or rather get the ticket early in the morning. There are many people who use Poprad as their base to explore the Tatras Mountain in Poland.

This happened just outside our hotel. Everything was flooded but in the hotel itself there was still water from the tap. So watch were you step and mind passing cars.
