I discovered this restaurant years ago and I still cant get enough.
if you want nice and friendly atmosphere, tasty food and good drinks, this must be your first choice!
Favorite Dish: a number of pizzas on the menu list, also some pasta and a quite good beer - try KOZEL 10
my favorite: "sampinonova" pizza with a beer - Kozel
The Platan was a converted home. It had a nice outdoor covered patio. We ate there three times and found the food to be very good. I am a chef, the Patel met my standards for a good restaurant with it homey decor, modern menu and prices. An all inclusive meal rarely ran over $5 a person.
Favorite Dish: My favorite dish was a 'Pork Cordon Bleu'. A thin pork steak rolled and stuffed with mushrooms and other vegetables, coated in crumbs and deep-fried.
i know i know, globalisation stinks! but if you want pizza or any mexican food, this is the spot to go. it's on the main street! and it has quite stylish decoration! and all the people i know would bet they have tbe best pizza around, very varied choice
Favorite Dish: pizza!
chinese restaurant! globalization again :( but! we have a chinese restaurant. never been there, never tasted, i dont know, but maybe you will give it a try ;) right on the high street (where else) :))))
quite affordable prices, i think
one of the favourite student spots, surprisingly good kitchen, quite cheap. during the evening tends to be crammed, we like it so much! people have their favourite seats there, everybody knows 'teta ludka' one of the waitresses. actually it is the hockey club's restaurant with a vip room where i never was. so that's why they have such a good kitchen. traditional slovak menu, you can have soup and dishes and stuff. i like the toast as it goes so well with the beer, but you can have an omelette if you like.
if you get suspicious about the gypsies sitting there and playing poker on the automats, don't worry. there is some kind of silent understanding between the students, gypsies and sportsmen, we don't violate others territory.
yup, and they have a jukebox! which sometimes plays cheesy stuff but sometimes metallica, depending on who chose. so choose first!
Favorite Dish: toast
cakes! and ice cream. in slovakia we eat icecream all day in the summer. and to have coffee and a good cake, mmmmmm, lovely. the cakes are creamy and tasty. but be quick, unfortunately, as time passes, this place tends to lower the quality, which is a pitty really
Favorite Dish: punch cake
Restaurant PLATAN - European high quality menu, Slovakian traditional food and the speciallities of Saris area.
