After four hours of hiking we came upon an abandoned monastery and a chaty, Klastorisko Chaty, named after the monastery. Many of the paths converge on this spots and it's one of the largest Chaty's in Slovensky Raj, so, not surprisingly, it was avery busy when we got there. It was quite a shock to see so many people again as during our hikes th epaths had been fairly quiet.
We went in and ordered sprite, water , coffee and chocolate to build up strength for the return trip. There was also plenty of hot food available and proper meals available and a nice terrace in the chaty with good views across to the monastery. Many people in the chaty were enjoying a cool beer. Maybe I need more practise in all this hiking but the thought of a long hike after a few beers does not sound nice to me. I prefer to order it the other way around!

There aren't too many places in Slovensky Raj where you can get food so most visitors bring there own picnics. We planned to shop at the huge supermarket beside the bus station in Spisska Nova Ves. However, our bus from Levoca arrived just before the bus to Cingov (at the edge of the park) was leaving so we didn't have time to stop.
We were a bit worried that we wouldn't get any food at all before we entered the park as there didn't seem to be much at Cingov. There was a small cafe but they sold no picnic stuff. Luckily the little cabin in the car park, which looked like nothing more than a small tabac, sold bread, biscuits, cheese, sweets, drinks and much more. The friendly girl working there spoke only Slovak so we had to point but we got all we needed. If you get the chance, do stock up at the supermarket in Spisska Nova Ves beforehand.
