I arrived in Trencin by train after hiking up Cachtice Hrad.
In general, all express trains from Bratislava to Kosice (via Zilina) stops here. The jouney would take about 1 hour 35 minutes or it could be about 1 hour 20 minutes roughly from Bratislava Hlavna Stanica train staion or as long as 2 hours 20 minutes from Bratislava.
There are also buses to Bratislava (2 .5 hours) & Kosice ( 7.5 hours).
