Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Summer in Vysoke Tatry usually lasts from late May to begining of September but even in this season don't forget to bring some warm clothes, especially when you're considering to do hiking or any other outdoor activity. Also good hiking shoe are highly advisable. But don't worry if you forget something, there are plenty of good sports shops across Vysoke Tatry where you can buy quality gear at good prices.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Trekking in the High Tatras you will be exposed to the ultraviolet rays of the sun all the time as at high altitudes there is nowhere to shelter from it. That is why it is important to protect your head with a hat or cap and use good protective cream or lotion to avoid sunburn.
Good trekking boots and thick socks, some even say two pairs of them, are essential not only to avoid blisters but first of all to help you keep your balance and prevent you from slipping on the rocky paths.
