Many moods of Lake Bled
Lake Bled has many different faces. Sometimes it is at peace. Sometimes not. This is a picture of Lake Bled in the afternoon. Rather at peace at the moment. The lake was carved by the recession of the Bohinj glacier.

At the edge of the Pannonian plain lies the attractive Radenci Health Spa. Radenska ''Three Hearts'' mineral water, which at the beginning of the century was served at the imperial court in Vienna and at the papal court the Vatican, is now known all around the world. The photograph was taken in one of Radenci's museums which shows how Radenska's Three Hearts bottles have been changing through the years.

White is the reflection of all the colours, and all the diversity of the world is combined within it. In the variety of Slovenia's fifteen health spas, you will become familiar with all the diversity of Slovene landscapes, their natural and cultural character, and their cuisine. Both restful and active holidays are provided by thermal pools with 27 - 38 degrees Celsium water temperatures and unlimited opportunities for excursions, recreaction, and sport. The beneficial effects of the spa waters are complemented by healing mud, mineral peloids and peat, a healthy climate, sea water, over the decades Slovenia's health spas have filled their mission ''With nature to health.''On the photograph: Banovci Spa in Eastern Slovenia

Below Mount Kanin there is a picturesque Soca River Valley and the resort town of Bovec where the world's best kayakers and canoeists compete and fly fisherman pursue the leusive Soca trout. As well Soca is known as the cleanest Slovenian river. This picture was taken in Most na Soci, very interesting village which is split by the river Soca (most = bridge).

At the edge of Triglav National Park stands world renowned Bled and its lake. In the middle of the lake is an island with a 17 century church. With its thermal springs and other natural attractions, recreational opportunities, congress center, casino, and golf course, Bled has been a true tourist paradise for more than a century. The best rowers in the world also test their strength in competitions here.

Seeing human fish in Postojna Cave was another great experience for me being in this country !...Previously I could only see the human fish in books, but seeng them live in a tank & also seeing the caves where the human fish breed...are a great memory for me !

A great memory for me also being able to see the sun, the sea, the medieval places on Slovenian Westcoast.Beautiful places like Piran, Portoroz, Strunjan have so much to offer me !I could stay for days but I had to move on because to me at least being this far...coming from this far, I would love to see as many places as possible !I just bid farewell to the places...& someday I would love to go there again....if old age permits !

Now I'm sharing some of my best memories around this beautiful & scenic country, Slovenia.First was meeting Ivan whom I was in touch for about 2 weeks prior to my departure from my country !He's a nice guy with his fisherman hat always on his hat (except in his house, of course...).he showed me many nice excursions which otherwise would be looked over by me !Lots of travel tips from him as well.Thank you very much Ivan !

Hiking Rombon was not just average hiking. Why? Because behind everything there's affecting story of the World War I. So sad....We started at Kluze, a place where a huge building from WW I is built. We were hiking for several hours up to the top. We returned on the other way to Bovec and had a Lasko there. I think the whole hiking thing took us about 9 hours. Highly recommended to hike if you've got time.

With 2540 meters Kocna is defenitely one of the most beautiful peaks in Slovenia. The footpath is registred as a very exacting but I can tell you it's not so bad. Not at all. We started at Jezersko, passing Ceska koca (mountain hut), and then we reaches the magnificent peak in few hours. e went back down to the Ceska koca (but not on the same path). From there evry few of us went to the Ledine mountain hut, and then back to Jezersko. It took us about 10 hours.

Q: My husband and I are planning two nights in July - is it better to base ourselves In Bled or Bohinj, or do one night in each?
