Ivanjsevci Travel Guide

Ivanjsevci is tiny little willage at left bank of Ščavnica river in it's valley between Slovenske gorice and Radgonske gorice, north-east Slovenia. At the edge of tectonic plate there are several natural mineral water sources in that area. The one in the village Ivanjsevci is known to be one of the best here with highest amount minerals and ions in it.
How to find it? I think the best way is to use the bike as you'll have pleasant ride through countryside .
From Gornja Radgona turn to local road towards Sv. Jurij ob Ščavnici, then after few km turn right to the direction Ivanjsevci, Lastomerci etc. (follow the signs) and when in Ivanjsevci watch carefully for smaller side road (which continues to Negova on the other side of the hill) and sign 'slatina' which means mineral water and follow it's direction towards a lonely farm after about 500 meters from that crossroad. You'll find the source in front of regulated river Scavnica, with Mary's statue on your left hand side. There are also a few picknics tables there.

Favorite thing: Spring time or early summer would be the nicest time to visit villages of Lower Scavnica valley (Ivanjsevci, Okoslavci villages). The meadows will be full of flower and the weather won't get too hot. Riding a bike won't be too hard as the area is relatively flat at the bottom of river Scavnica, but you'll have to pass Radgonske gorice or Slovenske gorice if you're from that direction! A disturbing thing in the lowland agricultural area will be odour of the manure that will be brought out to fields by local farmers, but that's the traditional (and indeed not ecological) way of farming these days in the areas without sewage system.
