This restaurant (said to be over 130 years old) is situated near the little marina by Veliki trg in the Old Town. I came here for lunch and had a nice omlette and drink but their main dishes are fish such as sole, bass, turbot, dory, squid, scampi, mussels etc as well as some meat dishes such as beefsteak, rump steak, turkey steak, grilled pork cutlet etc. Prices are probably cheaper than in Piran.

This restaurant has a great reputation and is recommended by people all over the country.
Favorite Dish: Fish, seafood, and especially Istrian specialties like homemade gnocchi - the only menu item I can actually translate. All the rest are indigenuous and thus untranslatable!

Parangal
Situated by the marina, it will surely give you that luxurious feeling of Mediterranean indulgence. Prices are reasonable, although not the lowest you'll find. Expect to pay about 2500 SIT for the main dish, salad and wine.
Favorite Dish: Seashells... what else! Mussels, scallops, the so-called 'prstaci', anything! The people at my table also praised seafood risotto and cevapcici (though this is not the typical food of the area).
