Tourist Information Centre, Ljubljana
Favorite thing: There's a tourism information center located right on the other side of the Triple Bridge from Preseren Square, stop by and get a copy of the "Where? Ljubjlana Tourist Guide" which gives a nice overview of the city, it's history and what there is to do in Ljubljana. You can also look at their online guide at this website.
The Tourist Information Office is located across the Triple Bridge from Preseren Square on the corner by the Plecnik Colonnade. Here you can get hold off maps, tourist info, hotel info etc.
Open: 8am-7pm daily (1st Oct - 31st May), 8am-9pm daily (1st Jun - 30th Sep)
Fondest memory: The staff in the tourist office in Ljubljana were friendly and extremely helpful. As well as helping us decide on a good itinerary for our short stay and telling us the most interesting museums to visit, they helped us find a supermarket (we had been looking for one for most of the morning). In addition they all seemed to be multilingual and we heard them helping German, Spanish, and Italian visitors.
Just across Tromostovje (triple bridge) is a tourist information center.

Favorite thing: I didn’t find the tourist information office, but the tourist office found me. A Ljubljana Postman riding around the center on a Penny Farthing tricycle in period costume from 150 years ago can provide free tourist information or directions.
