Kavarna ZVEZDA, Ljubljana

The best selection of fresh and delicious cakes, ice cream and other velvet tastes. It is the best known place where you can try extremly good pieces of sweets. When you are in Ljubljana you must try it out.

This is specially written cose Tom and Carol from Buffalo has been visiting Ljubljana and said this is a must be tried for everyone who visits our capital city. So if you are comming to Ljubljana try Zvezda and you will have great experience. The sweets like you cannot find them in Buffalo ... just Ljubljana ;)

Monday - Saturday: 7.00 - 23.00
Sundays: 10.00 - 18.00

Cafe Zvezda is a good place to sit inside or outside to have cake and coffee. Many homemade cakes and desserts are available. Service staff was friendly. Live music was playing outside on the street. Had Kremna Rezina with strawberries for dessert, a theme I frequently revisited in Slovenia. I am a dessert freak and thought it was good.

Of course we couldn't spend a day in Ljubljana without having at least two cakes. Hence we made a warm-up stop after having been to the castle at Zvezda, a coffee and cake classic so it seems. The cakes they had all looked beautiful - very rich on calories too though ;)

Favorite Dish: I had a huge strawberry cake with lots of sweet cream which made me consider not to eat anything more for a whole month ;)

They have the best cakes in town. It is a cosy little place right in the cetre of Ljubljana.

Favorite Dish: They serve the best X'mas cake, but unfortunally only during festive season. It smells of cinammon, cloves,... filled with lots of chocolate.

I ate a lot of ice cream in Ljubljana, it was always high quality and great value. Seemed that everyone always had an ice cream in their hand. This was by far the best ice cream I had in town, maybe on my whole two month trip around Europe.

Favorite Dish: Mixture of chocolate and blueberry icecream.
