Ljubljanski Dvor serves a wide selection of Italian food and in perticular some nice and cheap pizzas. The pizzas come in three sizes, all larger than average - the medium was a bit too large for me on my own and I was really hungry! You can either sit inside or on the river terrace for great views. Beware though that this place gets very busy around lunchtime.
Take a table outside and watch the city pass by.
When we were there, there were no less than 100 pizzas on the menu. Don't go for a large one unless you're ravenous -- they're huge.
The service was fast and friendly and the food excellent. The house red wine was also good.
Lju dvor is nothing but mediocre and definitely overrated. try piazza or trta, they are so much better, even though not located in the touristical middle, but still less than 20 min bz walking from the tripple bridge
If it wasn't for the excellence of the Zlata Ribica we'd have come back here for second helpings as well. I felt the pizza here was better than anything I'd had in Italy, and way better than anything I'd had in Germany. This is coming from someone who recently was honoured with being trusted by a very fussy Italian to pick good Italian food. This has taken over a year. The food is really tasty, really quick, and really cheap. The pizza menu is also extremely extensive.
In the summer the patio offers great views of the river and city center.
Neatly coinciding with the completion of chaotic building work in its near vicinity, this veteran of the Ljubljana restaurant scene seems to have undergone some rejuvenation lately. That goes for the quality of the service as well as the food, with the vast selection of tasty and enormous pizzas a particular highlight. Ljubljanski Dvor's two spacious patios, offering wonderful views of Old Town just across the river, make it a summertime favorite of locals and tourists alike.
