McDonald's Restaurant, Ljubljana

When I travel, I try not to head for the familiar fast-food places of home, preferring to eat at local restaurants and sample the local cuisine. But, every now and then, it's nice to slip in to a familiar place.

Yes, you'll find a MacD's in downtown Ljubljana. I went in because I wanted to see just how the food compared to back home. Well, it was exactly the same.

One difference you'll find, especially if this is your first visit to Europe, is that you can get a beer at MacD's...not something you'll find in Canada and the USA.

I couldn't resist snapping up the tray liner as a souvenir...
