The Day of Ptuj Municipality is always the first Saturday in August, as a remembrance of the distant past, the year 1513, when the archbishop Lenart of Salzburg approved of a new, amended and adjusted statute of the town of Ptuj.
On that day every year town squares become stages for music groups, and at midnight fireworks illuminate the sky above Ptuj. Some 10,000 visitors come into town for the occasion.
A low key, hole-in-the-alley that had some very friendly and talkative locals. Must have spent 5 or 6 hours here drinking a local dark red (merlot probably). Not exactly jumping though, it was a Friday night and the lone barmaid found time to sit and chat most of the night.
At this club you can listen to rock music on Friday evenings until the early hours of the morning. And if you are hungry, you can also order a pizza :) On other evenings it is not that crowded and can be a bit boring.
