The paddle wheeler Lucija takes tourists from its dock at Most na Soči south along the river Soča to the accumulation lake and the dam at Doblar and north to the confluence with the Tolminka. It's also possible to have lunch.
WORKSHOP of ALENKA GOLOLICIC.
A ceramics gallery and shop where you can see the making of practical objects from clay such as vases, bowls and jars, candlestick....and more.
She derives her inspiration from the dynamic HALLSTAT History of MOST NA SOCI.
By resorting to ancient techniques and pattersn, she has revived forms which could otherwise only be seen in Museum displays.

KOSMAC NATURE AND HISTORY TRAIL:
This, also marked, footpath leads from Most na Soci past several points of interest to the BIRTHPLACE of writer CIRIL KOSMAC.
This walk will take 2 hours.
The path can also be travelled by bike!
Almost everywhere you can rent a (mountain)bike, which is great fun!
There are carefully laid out walking paths along the Lake and all are signposted....
Another pleasant walk is the old road to POSTAJA and then across Stopec back to Most na Soci.
In POSTAJA is an interesting site: a monument to soldiers from the FIRST WORLD WAR.....
Very worthwhile, the walk and visiting the monument....
AND DON'T YOU MISS IT, IT IS GREAT....
Always listen, always be on the look-out, leave through brochures and you will find the most special things, like here....
In December 1999 Slovene RAILWAYS introduced a car-train running between Bohinjska Bistrica, Podbrdo and Most na Soci creating a comfortable car route between the GORENJSKA and PRIMORSKA regions.
Using the car train you can avoid the narrow and demanding mountain road leading across Soriska Planina (1310 m), the only road connection between Bohinj and Baska Grapa.
An additional carriage facilitates the transport of bikes, motor-cycles and passengers....
It was a lovely experience so I have to recommend it to you!
DOM TRENTA houses displays of the natural treasures of the only national park in Slovenia (TRIGLAV NARODNI PARK) and the ethnological heritage of river SOCA and TRENTA valleys.
On the ground floor, visitors can see a multimedia presentation of the park; on the first floor is an exhibition on nature, cultural landscape and human influence on the natural environment on display.
Through the MEZZANINE intended for occasional exhibitions, visitors ascend to the TRENTA MUSEUM on the third floor, featuring a reconstruction of a traditional TRENTA house and a SHEPERD'S OUTPOST
And there is more.....
DOM TRENTA also offers accomodation, guided tour for the TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK and conference facilities.
Entrance fees differ for adults, students and children.
OPEN: 27th April - 31st October 10AM - 6PM
Here you can see the route: of course you can travel one way or buy a return ticket.....
The last part of the traject is a long tunnel: the BOHINJ TUNNEL.
This tunnel is the most important structure on the Bohinj Railway line!
It connects the Northern and Southern sides ot the Julian Alps and is the LONGEST RAILWAYTUNNEL
It was constructed between 1901 and 1906 and is 6327 m. long.
It is an important transport route connecting Central Europe and the Adriatic.
Originally it was intended for a double-track railway line but the idea of the second track was abandoned after the end of WW II in 1945.
Today, the tunnel is a few meters shorter and its Northern side is bereft of a majestic portal which was demolished during the 2nd World War.
Here you can see the cars on the train.
At the Railway station in Most na Soci you can buy a ticket and really, not expensive at all!!
You then wait at the restaurant e.g. till the train comes back, has unloaded the cars and hes turned.
You then drive on the train and have to stay in the car during the ride.....
I have travelled to the South of France and the car was somewhere at the back and my daughter and me had a "sleeper" for the night and could snuggle together in the 2 bed little "room".......the steward came at about 11 to make the beds!
And of course we had dinner aboard the train...
But something like this train here...new...
I didn't see any sign saying that it is possible to rent a jet ski, however, I did see a young man driving one. So... There might be a possibility.
The Breathtaking panorama from our terrace to the Lake of Most na Soci, that we only had the chance to enjoy in the morning, before we head to the festival...
One of the most fascinating activities in Most na Soci, undoubtedly is a comfortable voyage on the Lake...
It is suitable for both, individuals and groups.
