The Sava River is a mellow turquoise river that affords rafters beautiful views of the Bled countryside. It flows beneath high, rugged peaks while large birds of prey fly overhead. This is not an adrenaline pumping ride down a horizontal waterfall (which is a bit disappointing) but our boat somehow managed to get flipped over after becoming entangled under the base of a fallen tree protruding out into the river. The rafting company might want to consider taking a chainsaw to that tree to avoid future calamities. It was definitely the most exciting part of the day though.
Have your hotel secure a reservation for white water rafting. The river was extremely cold, but the rafting was fun. probably only class 3 at best. It was very relaxing.
