Celje has two bigger bus station. Main bus station is in Askrceva ulica near hotel Storman. There you can find connection to many city in Slovenia. Second bus station is just nearby train station. There you can find connection to all towns and villages nearby Celje. You can buy ticket for long distance travel on the bus or at bus station - price is the same. For local buses it's cheaper to buy tickets in tobacco shops or at bus station.

Celje is located along the motorway and railway axis connecting Ljubljana to Maribor, so it is easy to reach it. There is at least one train every hour to both cities. This photo shows the Celje railway station.

The rail station is pretty much in the centre of town and has good links to Ljubljana and Maribor with a few trains daily to Zagreb, Graz and Vienna.
No problem buying tickets, all user friendly.

Celje is a city in east part of Slovenia (called Štajerska).It's much less crowded than Ljubljana or other turist parts of Slovenia.
Another "Off the Beaten City" some 53 kms. east of Maribor and some 73 kms. west of Ljubljana you may visit if you have time.
The town is not huge but christmas decorations make it look like from a fairytale... magical stroll in the night time is a must these days!
Celje & the things you never read about
