On November 13, - a name day of St. Martin- is the day when fruit juice become adulterate wine. A real festival took place in wine cellars and farms -" Martinovanje" called in Slovene. On those days Sutardays and Sundays) , a new wine to drink and tasty gees with red cabbage and flat cakes to eat, has to be on the table
At the very top of the hill is located this Tourist farm, with the breathtaking view, specially in autumnal times when the leaves of the trees become so colourful.The farm owns widely vineyards, have their own wine celler and much to offer their guests.
The final destination of our trip vas Tourist Farm at Vrh nad Bostanjem. It was early afternoon, from time to time sunny when we reached the farm. The location of it is absolutely great. "Vrh" means a peak. The view is increadible, you feel like a bird.
You can see some of the products which family produced in its farm. They have got modern rooms for their guests and of course they offer them specialites of local kitchen, homemade bread, potica, first class wine of the region named "Cvicek" and more and more.
we passed villages like this one, enjoying the beautiful scenery of those romantic hills, vinneyards, wine cellars "Zidanice" in Slovene, driving towards our next stop - to the village named Sentjanz.
There is a nice park in the centre of Trebnje. And in that park, there are lots of sculptures made of wood. Unfortunately I don't know, who are the artists. I had only a minute left to take a photo, before our bus moved ahead.
After about 20 km we made our first stop - in the town Trebnje. Actually we had a coffee break and some time to stroll around. It is not a very big town, but it has some interesting objects to see.
The family enjoys welcoming quests. They offered us dried apple slices "krhlji" in Slovene, fruit brandy and buckwheat bread with nuts. All these are homemade specialities and delicious.
They say "Sentjanz is a bunch of Dolenjska" In Sentjanz, we visited a tourist farm of family Repovs. In each season of the year, you can find interesting things to do and to see.
In the very centre of Trebnje is, as usual in small town or villages, a church.In the photo you see a very nice sculpture dedicated on honour to Heros of the fatherland
