This picture was taken in autumntime somewhere in Gorenjska. The farms like this one, are concerned with turism. Usually they have some very comfortable guests rooms, and they have already guest who returned again and again. They spend there their holidays (usually with childrem) in real country-life.

Very typical in Slovenia are small churches built on the top of the hills. This is one of them.Photo is taken somewhere in Gorenjska region, but you can find them everywhere. Its a magic view onto them in night-time; when they're lighed up

My VT friend Daja123. Picture is taken near Bovec at our trip to the western part of Slovenia.Bovec is also a skiing centre. Actually it is Kanin, next to Bovec. It's possible to ski there almost all the year round.

Great sightseeing. This photo is taken near Bovec. Bovec is a small touristic place, where travelers and tourists can find feasibilities for different kinds of sport and recreation. Crystal - clear Soca river is paradise for rafting, canyoning or just for walking around, making trips...

Ptuj is situated in the most eastern part of Slovenia, very close to the town of Maribor. The medieval core of the town is in particularly interesting, in fact, a must see when visiting Slovenia. Besides Škofja Loka, it has the best preserved medieval core in whole country. The town is situated on the bank of the Sava river and has an beautiful castle on the top of the hill which dominates whole Sava valley.

Krško is small industrial town, situated on the main road from Ljubljana to Zagreb. It is also on the crossroad which lead to the most eastern part of Slovenia where towns of Celje and Ptuj are situated. The local road from Krško to Celje, along the banks of Sava river, is very scenic with beautiful nature and couple of nice castles to see.The old core of Krško, situated on the right bank of the river Sava, is pretty much interesting and worth of visiting.

Brežice is small conterminous town, inevitable when entering into Croatia from the direction of Ljubljana. It is almost ideal resting place after long drive. Here you have medieval castle, situated right in the heart of the townlet, housing regional museum today. Only a kilometer far from the centre, you'll find one of the biggest spa of Slovenia called Cateške Toplice, with number of pools and other water and sports facilities. In a short distance, on the neighbouring hill, there is the Mokrice Castle with one of the best golf grounds in Slovenia.

The Lake of Bohinj is a part of National Park Triglav, the biggest and the most beautiful parks in Slovenia. Although situated only 20km north of the Lake of Bled, most of the tourists miss it when visiting the area of Bled. In my opinion, however, the Lake of Bohinj is more beautiful the the Lake of Bled. The nature around the lake and its shore is almost intact and, what is the most important, it is not deformed by the inappropriated "architectural achievements".

The small town of Kropa is really off the beaten path place. It is situated north of Ljubljana, in direction to Lake of Bled, hidden in one of the numerous small vallies around the town of Bled. The town of Kropa is known for it longtime blacksmiths tradition, whos craftworks can be found all over the Slovenia. The local blacksmith museum is woth of visiting, displaying development of the craft during the centuries.
