If you have a car, you should definitely drive over the Vrsic pass (weather permitting). The scenery is astounding. I made the drive in early October. I heard three days after i was there a blizzard closed the road until May.

Pekel pri Borovnici (Hell at Borovnica) is an ideal trip for those who would like to escape from hot Ljubljana and go to a cold place .Pekel is the the most beautiful after heavy rains when river Borovniscica have a lot of water .You have to put on good walking shoes because the path is steepy and muddy.There are 5 watterfalls in the valley. The first one is the smallest , only 4 metres.The second is 16 metres high .Te third is the highest, 18 metres .The path becomes more and more steepy and you have to climb up on the ladder to reach the fourth watterfall , which is 17metres high.On the way to fifth watterfall you have to grap the rope on the wall. Slivnica is a hill above the Cerknica Lake which is known as meeting places of witches.If you will climb the hill you will be rewarded by marvellous view on Cerknica Lake .On the south you can see Sneznik and Nanos hill.On the top you must try Slivnica Tea which is made from flowers which grow on Slivnica.If you are with children, visit witches cave.Climb takes an hour and half.Access: take the highway to Postojna ,turning Unec.From Unec to Cerknica is about 15 km.

Planina pri Jezeru is situated in the heart of Fuzinske planine ( Fuzine mountains) above Lake Bohinj. Access to the hut is from Bohinj Lake up to the mountain.The hike is about 1 hour long. It is possible to proceed to Vogar ,Velo Polje and to Hut at Triglav Lakes.The hut is surrounded with pine trees . Under the hut is beautiful lake.The hut is opened only in summer.
