    The whole coast area of Slovenia is officially billingual because of its Italian minority. Therefore you'll find all names of streets, shops and institutions in both languages. However, everybody working in tourism speaks at least one, if not two other languages, most often English and German.

    Piran has two official languages. Slovenia and Italian therefore don't be surprised if the signs are bi-linguistic.
