Postojna Restaurants

In Studence, along the main road to KOPER (a wonderful old city.....) the pizzeria stands some 700 metres from the main road in a wonderful place: wide views will make your pizza taste better........especially when eaten "al fresco"...

60 places are available inside and in the garden some 30.....which sounds good!

It is situated at the trunk road direction Ljubljana, only 4 kilometers from the Postojna Cave (see intro and Must See Tips)
in the middleof the Ravbarkomanda SPRUCE WOODLANDS.

110 guests can be seated in the restaurant and some 75 in the lovely garden...

Overnight accomodation is available in 2 double rooms and there is a self-contained apartment.

Situated in the very heart of Postojna you will find this restaurant.

135 guests can be seated inside but when the sun is shining do go to the wonderful garden where some 100 guests can find a seat underneath trees......

This sounds great......whether you go there before or after visiting the world famous caves!

In the middle of the forest next to the main road from Logatec to Ajdovscina this fine place is located.

Nearby are the remains of the Roman Walls, the AD Pirum Museum, a running track, an excellent cycling trail and it is the startingh point for hill-walking, excursions, mushroom picking and much more...

In the inn some 80 diners can be seated and outside in the garden some 40...

Rough Guide said the options for dining were fairly limited so we spotted a Spar grocery store on our way back to the Toll Road and stopped there to get some bread, cheese, salami, a couple of spreads, chips, drinks and a couple of really tasty pastries, a Kremsnita (vanilla custard cream cake) and a Rezina Zagrebska (similar with chocolate), all for a whopping total of 9E.

This resturant, close to the town center, has a large variety of Pizza's with not so common toppings. Some of the choices don't seem quite right for a Pizza. It is reasonably priced (1000 SITs for a small). The difference between small and large is only 300 SITs in price, but I a large is a much larger size (two people can easily share it). There is a terrace outside.

If you are just passing through, you may be tempted to eat at the fast food stalls outside the cave's entrance, but I would advise against it if you don't want to be overcharged for some tasteless burger. Instead, take a walk into town, and stop off in a cafe or fill up on sandwiches from a local shop.

This pizzeria is located in the recreational park in the centre of Postojna (1 km. from the cave!).

There is a car park, an area where children can play, sports facilities etc..

50 guests can enjoy there meal inside and some 50 can be seated in the garden and....let me tell you that gardens are always a feast for the eye here in Slovenia!
