To go to Predjama from Postojna bus station, only way is taxi on weekends and holidays. Only on school days bus to bukovje (2 km to predjama) runs and it is not frequent bus. One can walk all the 9 km or hire a taxi. Taxi cost 15 euro for one way.

After visiting Postojna Caves we hopped back into the car and at the exit of the car park there was a sign directing us to Predjama Castle (Predjamski Grad), 9 km away. The route was very well marked and there was a sign for car parking which is free. From there it's just a short walk to get to the entrance.

Now reaching Predjama Castle is a bit tricky if you don't have your own transport.
Postojna is the best town to base yourself. You can cycle to Predjama Castle.
You can also take the local bus to Postojna first. Then, take the local bus to Bukovje, a village about 2 km north east of Predjama Castle.
A taxi from Postojna would cost you 10,000 SIT.
I was lucky to have a Slovene friend, Ivan who drove me to Predjama Castle with his car.

Commune between the 2 places is not easy unless you have your own transport. The buses are scarce.
Nevertheless, Predjama is the best (the easiest route) excursion once you are in Postojna.
