    Primos Trubar (1508 - 1586) was a protestnat reformist, the founder and first superintendent of the Protestant Church in Slovenia, the consolidator of the Slovene language and the first Slovene writer.

    A steam saw

    Another renovated object in this complex. It used to be a steam saw.
    The whole complex looks great, The brook with some footbridges is streamming by, all around green meadows, trees - in short wonderful invirons..

    The mill

    This is the place where Primos Trubar was born. (1508 - 1586)
    He wrote the first Slovene books "Catechismus" and "Abecedarium" and published them in 1550
    Nowadays many cultural events are taking place here.

    Primos Trubar

    Ten minutes drive from Turjak towards Kocevje, Rasica, the birth place of Primos Trubar is located.
    Nowadays its a temple of slovene culture.
    In the photo there is a relief of Primos Trubar, the man who wrote the first Slovene book in 1550.

    The horses

    I took the photo of these gorgeous horses in the he farm, where my mother was born. It is village named Adamovo, also not far away from Turjak. In that time, they cultivated fields, nowadays they keep horses, sheep.

    This old cottage is unsettled now. It is typical cottage as used to be there. The living room where dominate a big stove and a table with bench around, a kitchen and a bedroom. The building ends with a stable

    About 10 to 15 km from Turjak is located this village. You can take a beauteful view of the hills around. In the middle of the village there is a small chapel, very often sights.
